Seasonal Flower Arrangements

Posted by Amanda on 8/31/09

Tis’ the season to give flowers and every season is a great time to show you care. Arrangements can be made for the four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer or even for holidays and special dates within each season. Think of Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and birthdays. There is never a bad day to give someone flowers.

Fall colors are absolutely breathtaking on trees so taking those oranges, yellows, and reds and adding them to a flower arrangement makes them visually appealing and gorgeous. Winter brings in snow and Christmas time. Red and white flowers like carnations, roses, and chrysanthemums are a great addition to these arrangements and adding Christmas greens give them a holiday look.

Springtime is a beautiful season for flower arrangements. This is the time when flowers bloom and blossom for all to see and enjoy. Daffodils, tulips, lilacs, and peonies look beautiful in the garden as well as in a flower arrangement. When springtime comes the color pops so find a florist that is not afraid of color.

Seasonal flower arrangements for summer are often have the notable quality of the bright colors. Roses of all colors are beautiful in these arrangements plus sunflowers and lilies. Nothing says summer more than daisies so have your florist add these flowers for colorful flair. Summer is the time for hues that resemble the sun so don’t forget the purples, oranges, reds, and pinks.

Every occasion and season can be celebrated through the power of a floral arrangement. Christmas wreaths are a great addition to holiday décor as well as fall foliage and poinsettias. Even the Halloween holiday can get in on all of the fun with orange and yellow sunflowers, pumpkin vases and words like "BOO" added to the arrangements.

Let flowers say what you want to say like, "I Love You" or "Congratulations". Flower arrangements are great for holidays, birthdays, celebrations like Mother’s Day and even that random Tuesday. Remember when purchasing flowers to choose what the recipient likes and the arrangement will be a beautiful centerpiece that will make them smile each time they pass it.
